In 1965, Germaine Laedermann appeared on the television program Madame TV. After her father’s death, she took over the family farm in Penau, Mont-sur-Lausanne. For more than twenty years, she ran the farm with the help of her mother and employees—a heavy responsibility for a single woman.
In 2024, Lorraine Chollet from Ecoteaux (VD) shares her own experience of the realities of being a woman farmer. This documentary by Jérôme Bourquin offers a cross-portrait of these two women from the countryside.
